The Allen Bradley Guardmaster Spartan positive mode, tongue-operated safety interlock switch has a supply voltage rating of 24VAC/DC. It has 2NC/1NO contacts. This has a machine guard closed until power is isolated and ensures that it remains that way when the guard is open. Its head has 2 entry slots and it can be rotated to provide 4 actuator entry points. The locking mechanism of this switch is designed to withstand forces up to 1600N (360lb). The guard may only be opened when a signal is applied to the Spartans internal solenoid that releases the lock mechanism.
